Our Team

Liz Kaltenhauser - CEO

I initially got involved as a sophomore in high school, receiving my first dive certification through the company. After my second dive certification, it was clear that I was hooked on diving, and I continued pursuing as many certifications as possible. Now that I own the company, I want to take the original mission of DiveOne and expand it further into more states, age groups, and memorable trips.

I have an environmental science degree and am currently pursuing my master's degree in Coral Reef Biodiversity of Conservation. I have been educating the public about the ocean at local aquariums in Minnesota for years. It was not until I moved to Florida and back that I realized how many landlocked communities didn’t know about the growing concerns in the marine environment. This is why I am excited and eager to take this company to the next level and provide an educational component to an already inspiring and exhilarating trip experience.

Nikayla Barnes - Trip Coordinator

My name is Nikayla Barnes (AKA Nyx), a Trip Coordinator and logo designer for Dive One! I have my bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology. I have my Open Water scuba certification and plan to pursue as many diving certifications as possible. I am going to continue my education by pursuing an advanced degree in animal behavior and marine sciences! I am passionate about marine life, especially sharks. Due to this passion I have pursued shark field research experiences and have worked with live shark species in Biscayne Bay. We hope to use my experience to explore shark research skills courses! I will use my extensive experience with aquatic field work in both marine and freshwater environments to teach the future generations of aquatic scientists!

Georgia Kovacic - Trip Advisor

I am incredibly passionate about this program because I have a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of South Florida! I am an advanced open water diver with Nitrox, have shark and stingray research knowledge with CMERA, and am familiar with researching Harmful Algal Bloom with FWRI; this allows me to create a trip with a strong research backbone, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge to help support the students!

Danielle Warmke - Trip Advisor

I have a BA in Elementary Education and hold a dive certification. I look forward to creating safe and fun travel experiences that expand the minds of the next generation!
