Commitment to Safety
At DiveOne, safety is our top priority. Scuba diving is an inherently high-risk activity, so we take extensive measures to ensure the well-being of every participant on our trips. We strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations in the locations we visit, and require both staff and clients to sign a safety contract outlining our comprehensive safety protocols.
These contracts are distributed and reviewed during parent meetings, providing an opportunity to address any questions or concerns before signing. The contract emphasizes key rules for all participants, including prohibitions on alcohol and drug use, and the requirement to stay with the group and inform the Trip Coordinator before going anywhere. While breaches of these rules could result in a student being sent home, we are proud that this has never been necessary in DiveOne's history. These measures are in place to protect both our students and the company.
Throughout our trips, DiveOne implements specific safety actions to provide a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone. These actions include:
Daily attendance checks: We verify the presence of each participant every day.
Flight check-ins: We confirm flight information and ensure smooth travel.
Daily social media check-ins: We provide regular updates to families back home.
Open communication channels: Parents have direct access to the Trip Coordinator, a trusted teacher, and a certified dive instructor throughout the trip.
These precautions, along with our ongoing commitment to safety training, provide peace of mind for both participants and their families. At DiveOne, safety is not just a suggestion, it's a requirement. We are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where students can enjoy the incredible adventures that scuba diving offers.
